In Asia, after Chinese New Year, the Moon Celebration is a popular harvest festival.
It is held on mid-september, when the full moon is the brightest, the rondest and the most beautiful and symbolises a united family.

The Moon represents a happy family and people gather with childrens and friends.
This celebration associates a former lunar worship and a harvest feast.
Farmers celebrate the end of the harvest.

The traditional food festival is the mooncake.

This festival is also called « The children’s Festival »
.

On this special day, all families organize activies on the Moon theme.
This holiday is a special moment because people share love, attention and interest to their families and friends.

Parents buy brightly lit lanterns to their children that symbolise intelligence and success.
There are several shapes: fish (success), butterfly (longevity), Moon (wisdom) but the most popular is the star shape.

Children walk in the streets under the moon carrying bright lantern, singing songs; family members and friends will gather to admire the brightest moon on this special day.

During the celebration, people organize festive meal with family and friends.

We invite you to celebrate this theme offering you a large range of asian products: steamed dumplings, fry, mixed tray, deserts…
